Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026.
Toprato (toprato.com) is an independent comparison service. We publish ratings and side-by-side comparisons of crypto exchanges, crypto wallets, AML wallet checkers, eSIM providers, AI models, clinics and hospitals in Dubai, and new residential developments in the UAE.
This policy explains what personal data the site collects, why we use it, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers toprato.com and every page under this domain.
Toprato is an information service and nothing more. We do not hold your money, we do not exchange or store crypto, we do not open accounts for you and we never ask you to complete identity verification. When you move on to a provider listed here, you deal with that provider directly, under its terms and its privacy policy, not ours.
Who is responsible for your data
The site is operated by the Toprato team, which decides what data is collected here and why.
For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your own data, write to [email protected]. Requests are answered from the same address.
What we collect
We collect three kinds of data, and only one of them involves you typing anything.
Data you give us on purpose.
- When you write a review: your email address, the one-time code we email you to confirm it, the star rating you pick, the text you write, and any reply you add later to your own review thread.
- When you write to support: your email address and whatever your message contains.
Data your browser sends automatically. Every visit to any site sends this, and ours records it:
- IP address, and the approximate region it points to — usually a country or a city, never a street.
- Browser and device type, operating system, screen width, interface language.
- Which pages you opened, in what order, when, and which page or search sent you here.
Data about how you arrived and what you clicked.
- If a link to us carried campaign tags (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content), the site reads them and stores them in your own browser so we can tell which campaign a visit came from. - If you use the Rate this page stars, we record the score and the address of the page. No email, no name, nothing that points back to you.
We do not ask for your name, your phone number, your postal address, your date of birth or any document. There are no user accounts on toprato.com, so there is nothing to register and no password to store.
Why we use it
- To run the site — serve the pages, remember your filters and sorting while you browse, keep the comparison tables working.
- To confirm a review is from a real person — the one-time code to your email exists only for that.
- To publish and moderate reviews, answer them, and contact you about your own review if we need to.
- To answer your emails.
- To understand our traffic — how many people read a rating, which pages they open, which pages fail them. Aggregate numbers, not individual profiles.
- To tell where visits come from — campaign tags, referring pages, and whether a click on a partner link came from us.
- To keep the site up and defend it — block bots, flooding, scraping and attacks.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, we do not run ad networks on the site, and we do not sell personal data. Nobody pays us for access to it.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
Three things leave traces in your browser when you visit toprato.com.
Google Analytics 4. We use it to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies whose names begin with _ga and keeps a random identifier for your browser — not your name or your email. The data goes to Google, which processes it as described in the Google Privacy Policy. If you would rather not be counted, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser.
Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which sits between your browser and our servers to speed pages up and to filter out bots and attacks. It needs your IP address and request details to do that, and it may set a short-lived cookie to tell a person from a script. Cloudflare also receives automatic reports when a page fails to load for you.
Your browser local storage. The site keeps a few values on your own device, not on our servers: the campaign tags described above, and small interface preferences so the page behaves the same way next time. You can clear them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
There are no third-party advertising cookies on toprato.com and no advertising scripts of any kind.
You can block or delete any of this in your browser settings. Blocking analytics changes nothing for you; blocking all cookies and storage may break filters, sorting and the review form.
Reviews and ratings you submit
Reviews on toprato.com are public, and the email behind them is not.
- Why we ask for an email. Only to send a one-time code and confirm a real person is writing. It is not shown on the page, not shown to the company you review, and not used to send you anything else.
- What becomes public. Your star rating, your text, the date, and your replies in that thread. Reviews are shown with a standard icon, not a photo or a name you upload.
- Moderation. We may decline or remove a review that is spam, abuse, an advertisement, someone else's text, or an attempt to publish another person's data. We may post a reply under a review. We do not edit the substance of what you wrote.
- What not to put in a review. Never include passwords, seed phrases, private keys, card or account numbers, wallet addresses, transaction identifiers tied to you, scans of documents, or another person's details. If you send them anyway, we delete them.
- Removing a review. Write to [email protected] from the address you used. We take the review off the site and delete the email stored with it.
Once a review is public, search engines and other sites may copy it. We can remove it from toprato.com, but we cannot recall copies that other people have already made. That is worth bearing in mind before you press submit.
Partner links on the site
Many of the Visit site and Register buttons here are partner links: they carry a code that tells the provider the visit came from Toprato, and we may be paid a commission if you go on to use the service. The rating pages are free to read because of that.
- Following such a link takes you to another company's site. From that moment its privacy policy applies, not ours, and it may set its own cookies and record its own data about you.
- We learn only that a click happened and, from the partner, whether it led to a signup — as a count, not as a named person.
- We never pass your email address, your review text or your support messages to a partner.
Who else processes your data
We keep the list of outside services short, and each one only gets what it needs to do its job:
- Google — site analytics, as described above.
- Cloudflare — delivery, caching and protection against attacks.
- Our email provider — delivering the one-time codes for reviews and our replies to your messages.
- Our hosting provider — running the servers the site and its database sit on.
These services operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you are reading this from. We do not share personal data with anyone else, except where the law obliges us to answer a lawful request from a competent authority.
How long we keep it
- A review and the email behind it — while the review is published. When you ask us to remove it, we take the review down and delete the email with it.
- One-time codes — minutes. They expire and are discarded.
- Support correspondence — while the matter is open, and for a short period afterwards in case you come back about the same thing.
- Page votes and campaign tags — as aggregate counts, with nothing in them that points to a person.
- Server and security logs — a short operational period, then they are overwritten.
- Analytics — for the retention period set in Google Analytics, after which Google deletes the underlying records.
If you want to know the exact period for a particular kind of data, ask us and we will tell you.
Your rights and how to use them
Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, including your review and the email stored with it;
- withdraw a consent you gave earlier;
- stop counting you in analytics;
- send you a copy of what you gave us.
Write to [email protected]. Send the request from the email address the data is tied to — otherwise we have no way to tell it is yours, and we will ask you to confirm before we act. We reply as soon as we can and in any case within 30 days. Asking costs nothing.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country you live in.
Children
Toprato is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, sits behind Cloudflare, and access to the review database is limited to the people who need it. One-time codes expire quickly and we store no passwords, because there are no accounts.
No site can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that we hold as little as possible: no names, no phone numbers, no documents, and no payment data of any kind.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when the site changes what it does with data. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects you — a new service processing your data, a new purpose — we say so on this page rather than quietly editing a line.
